Isla Escondida is a traditional big English house built at the beginnings of 1900, as the first farmhouse built in the island by the Thompson family, being that the reason why the island carries its name nowadays. When it was restored, they tried to preserve its noble and original materials, such as the wooden floors and ceilings, the original walls of adobe and bricks from the 19th Century.

Accommodation

In the upper floor, it has 9 double and triple very comfortable bedrooms, with a nice view of the stream and the gardens. Each one includes:air conditioned Ceiling fan, Bed linen, Towels, Sound system / CDs. * Bathrooms are external, and they are located on the same floor as the bedrooms.

Meals

Resto & Bar: Open during the 24 hours. The guests can order what they want freely, without timetables or formal structures. The restaurant offers different alternatives every day, and a variety of meat, fish, poultry, pasta, salads and desserts. The meals are home-made and prepared in the moment. They are served at the time and place you prefer, the restaurant, gardens, pier or your room, without any additional cost.

Activities

At the island: Relax with our system of massages, accompanied by aromatherapy, Reflexology, reiki and beauty treatments as other alternatives to traditional body massage. You can enjoy a volley-ball game, get balls to play in the park, or ask for some of the board games such as chess, backgammon or cards. Guided tours going along different island paths which communicate both coasts of the island, getting to know the native flora and fauna on the way.

At the stream: The Inn is located next to a peaceful stream, where you will be able to row boats or canoes, and enjoy a unique moment surrounded by the vegetation and birds which are typical of our Delta. We provide the equipment for those who want to practice this sport , advising on the kind of fish to be caught in the different seasons.

On-board trips: We visit different historical sites of the Delta, and we sail up Paraná de las Palmas River. Duration 3 hours. We go sailing through different rivers and streams during two tours, as a unique experience in close contact with nature.
